Rogers Cable Vs. Antenna

Rogers Cable has become to big for there own good! Around 6 months ago Rogers over charged my cell phone because they screwed up my plan with my fathers plan, after 3 hours on there support line going through agent after agent who couldn't help me I finally reached a manager that reimbursed me for my money back.  I was disgusted with the time it took me to over pay them ever month, you could say I was on the edge with them and wanted to cancel everything.  Unfortunately there was no where else I could go, I had already tried Bell and it was the exact same thing, Something had to be done!  After a month of research into alternatives there was two ways to go, the first way is to override the cable limiter box that rogers places on the house and that looked like the answer to all my problems.  The way that the limiter box works is on the direct coaxial cable that is supplied to the house Rogers slices the cable and places a small box in between the wires.  All this box does is limit the amount channels you receive and also if they provide internet it will limit the speed. In order to override this box it must be opened and then one small wire must be cut, simple right? No, because the box has some special tool needed to open it so the I thought why don't I jut pry it open and be done with it. The box is property of Rogers Cable and if it is broken they can charge you for it or take you to court about stealing from them, I am no lawyer so this was to scary for me to even think of going to court, I'm only 18 this is not for me!  However because I want to help people I am going to give away the secret for getting away with the box option, The tool that is needed to open the box can be bought on ebay for around 7 dollars, next google how to cut the wire properly, then change your current cable and internet to basic cable and what ever the lowest internet is,  Rogers does make random visits that you might not even know about to check on the box if they see that your recieving to much they will come to the door and let you know about this and just say you didn't know and that you thought that was the normal (play it stupid). If they do come your right back to the top of this post because you will be paying to much for too little again and that is what brings me to option two.  Option two is an antenna and im sure this may seem like a ridiculous idea since most of you may remember getting up to the tv and adjusting the rabbit ears to get a picture and it still was fuzzy, I am to young for that but I do know a lot about the new ear of antennas and how they put Rogers Cable's picture to shame.  With the correct antenna and the proper placement the picture that comes in is the most beautiful HD I have seen!  There is a large amount of channels missing but its all the channels I dont watch, all of the major networks broadcast and I have never been affect by weather it is always coming in clear.  I live 60 km outside of toronto and I receive all of the major toronto networks and also the some from boston, a lot of research is needed to make sure your area will be appropriate for an antenna go to www.tvfool.com and this will show you which networks can be received from your location and which direction to point the antenna.  Okay now lets get into the hardware, in the end I ended up with the antennas direct clearstream 4 in my point of view this is the greatest antenna to exist, the size compared to other antenna of its calibre don't stand a chance.  Another good antenna manufacturer is channel master, I purchased a pre-amp from them which is another great purchase and RG6 cable all the way.  Currently I am running off of my antenna and also Rogers internet, if the show I want to watch isn't on the TV in perfect quality I will just download it hook up my computer to the TV and enjoy.  By doing all of this I am saving 50 dollars a month and also I am going outside more often because I don't have the option to channel flip and watch shows that I truly don't want to see!  If anyone has any questions about Antenna's please leave a comment and I will be happy to get back to you!................Deductified
